Hello everyone! Thanks for a super year of everyday. It's time again for THE EVERYDAY PROJECT yearly upgrade and face lift. Lots of great updates this time around. My everyday is already using the new template, so you can check out there. You can also preview the new main page by clicking "THE EVERYDAY PROJECT" above (all the images will be big and have more variety than you can see now). Here are the updates in handy list form:

1. No limit on image proportions. No longer are you stuck at 600 x 400. With the new template images can be any size. (I would recommend not uploading 300dpi images straight out of the new DSLR you got for kwanzaa)

2. No more flash on the main page. That sorta sucked. And for some reason didn't feel like working with Leopard. Also, bigger main page images.

3. No need to name or categorize to get the date(title) to show up right. This has sorta been there all along I just wasn't using it right. All you need to do now is set the correct date when uploading the image. The Browse page will also now be based on months and not categories. (Bigger thumbnails there too)

As always feel free to customize your templates. Though I would really like to keep the white nav bar top consistent between all the sites. For example, my site has the added colors of "rainbow" and explosive" (the color switcher is below the image)

Step One.
Download this zip file. >>

Step Two.
Upload the "2008" folder and it's contents into your pixelpost "templates" folder. Other folders in there will probably be called things like "pixelpost-dark" and "simple"

Step Three.
Go to your pixelpost admin and go into "OPTIONS" from there go to "TEMPLATE"
Under "SWITCH TEMPLATE" select "2008" from the drop down and hit Update.
Under "DATE FORMAT" enter this "M d, Y" (no quotes, and it's case/space sensitive) And hit update.

Step Four.
Go to your pixelpost admin and go into "OPTIONS" from there go to "THUMBNAILS"
Under "CROP THUMBNAILS?" select "no" from the dropdown menu and hit update
Under "THUMBNAIL SIZE" set width to 0 and height to 200, hit set new sizes.

Step Five.
The admin area can be weird about saving your changes and what not so after you think you've done all the updating give it a once over. Below are screenshots (with pink circles) of those pages and what your settings should be.

Step Six.
Upload an image for the day. Remember you don't need to categorize it or name it the date. I made a new "everyday" category because I can't stand to have things uncategorized.

Step Seven.
After you've uploaded an image let me know that you have upgraded. That's it, have good year!
